Simplifying Compliance on Ease of Paying Taxes Act

The Ease of Paying Taxes Act represents a major step forward in making tax compliance more straightforward and less burdensome for both businesses and individuals in the Philippines. By introducing streamlined processes, reducing paperwork, and expanding electronic filing options, this act aims to simplify the way taxes are filed and paid. These changes are designed to increase transparency, reduce administrative burdens, and ultimately encourage higher compliance rates, benefiting both taxpayers and the overall tax system.

Updated Invoicing Requirements

One of the critical updates under this act is the new invoicing requirements, which aim to simplify tax documentation further and ensure greater accuracy in tax reporting. These requirements are set to transform how businesses handle their invoices, providing clearer guidelines and improved processes for compliance.

Official receipts (OR) are no longer valid for claims of input taxes. You can still use your OR by striking through the word 'Official Receipt'

and stamping the word 'Service Invoice'.

No more deadline for using converted official receipts as invoices. You may convert your remaining ORs to Invoice and your Billing

Statement/Statement of Charges to Billing Invoice until fully consumed.
